Flail wad buster

 Drying systems work best when cotton does not enter in heavy wads. This is not always possible when ginning stripper and more recently trashier round modules. High capacity ginning under these conditions is helped by breaking up the cotton and trash early, before it is conveyed in the air lines and taken through the dryer.

The Flail is a rotating set of heavy chains that is mounted above a Samuel Jackson Hot Box. The chains are contained inside a steel housing and driven by a motor. The chains gently, but firmly, break the wads and make the conveying and drying process easier and more effective
